Hartmann Müller-Stiftung für medizinische Forschung

The Hartmann-Müller Foundation supports research at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich, especially in basic science. The funds can be used for the following:

• Salary for employees (own salary can not be applied for)
• Consumables
• Machines
• Travel costs up to CHF 1'000.- (first authors of abstract, poster or oral presentation)

Support is usually granted for one year.

A salary for PhD students will only be granted if the project will be additionally funded for the full period of three years. Start-up financing for PhD students is not possible.

Each beneficiary can receive max. CHF 100’000.- over a period of 10 years.

Per workgroup, three travel grants per year will be supported. Only PhD students, MD doctoral students and Postdocs are eligible for travel grants. Specifically, only Postdocs holding their PhD title for less than 5 years and who have not yet obtained a Habilitation (PD) are eligible to apply for travel grants.
